Despite advances in technology, ROVs are still manually controlled. Increased sensor options and additional cameras have created a data overflow for pilots with cluttered and confusing control rooms. Each additional individual sensor’s data is presented via an additional monitor, leaving pilots with the difficult task of manually synthesizing the data.  This leads to an overreliance on video which lacks accuracy and depth perception. The end result is inefficient and error prone operation. These errors can be costly, both financially and environmentally, often costing companies millions of dollars and days of downtime per incident.

BluHaptics intuitive interface uses GPU and parallel processing to fuse, in real time, all available sensor and video data into a single view. We then leverage force feedback (haptics) for computer assisted guidance and spatial alignment.  This gives pilots the ability to complete tasks with precision and accuracy that previously were impossible.  This technology reduces and, in most cases, eliminates costly pilot errors and mistakes. BluHaptics software integrates with vehicle navigation and manipulator arms for control assistance, stand off, station keeping, and work flow management.
